Puerto Princesa City Tours for Palawan Philippines

Traveler's Tip:

* The first city tour of Puerto Princesa we enjoyed very much. We hired a tricycle driver for 300 peso, to take us around to the different local city attractions, we really enjoyed taking our time viewing all of the tourist attractions and talking with the local residents of Puerto Princesa. ** The second city tour was sponsored by the Palawan Tourism Department, and we have to be honest with our assesment, we did not enjoy this city tour, and for the following reasons.

1. This city tour consist of taking you to several "known" souvenir shops, where prices are quite high.

2. Tour destinations on this list consist of, "Bakers Hill" unless you are interested in buying baked goods, this may be of no interest to you.

3. Iwahig Prison Farm, you will see and learn nothing about the prison farm itself, you are taken directly to the souvenir shop, where you can purchase souvenirs.

4. The Santa Monica Ranch, absolutely nothing here, you are taken here to get pictures of the "view".

In summery, no one that we went on this city tour with enjoyed it, it was about 4 hours of just driving around in van, crammed with 8 people, not fun. Our driver even did what is known as a "running tour" of a couple of locations, which is prohibited.
